Week 14

As I said about last week, I didn't find time to work on the bullet issue. Because we had to work on it and then add it to the demo of that Wednesday. We are currently working on it and finsihing stuff like on the wiki and the blogs to have everything done for the last day.

Week 13

Unfortunately, this week was terrible. With the new assignements that we have in Advanced Graphics Programming and Algorithms & Collection, I thought that I would be able to manage all of them with this project.
But, unfortunately, I got a terrible news that my computer stop working since Thursday. So, the few times that I was working on a computer at the University, it was to complete the work on the assignements of AGP. I didn't find the time to work on the issue of bullets physics. And I think I won't find the time next week.

Week 12

For this week, we have to finish the GDD as we said it. With Axel we take all our week to finish it. Peter, on his side, finish the TDD. When he finish it he help us to flesh out some parts of the document. Because, even if we have ideas, we can hardly really explain them. Finally, our goal has been reached and we finished our documents in time.

Week 11

This week was a busy week, I find a job which takes me all my daytime, also I work on two differents projects that I had to submit this week.

Regarding this game project, I first look at the bullets issue but still no solution came to my mind. Despite everything I still continue to learn how to bullets works. I just have to test the theory and to implement it with our demo on github to show it.
Also, I am still working on the GDD with Axel to finishing it. I think it start to be a good file but we still have to add stuff like sound design and to flesh out the level design.

Week 10

I am still with bullet and I met a new error that I cannot dealed with it. But with Axel we continue to implement the GDD with some level structure stuff and new informations about how the player will progress, what is his ultimate aim, the differents modes or his objectives during the game. We also put some new stuffs about mechanics and the gameplay in general.

Week 9

I am still on the bullet issue, I find an alternative to be able to learn about bullet. So I start a bullet tutorial to see how the physics works. The problem is that alternative solution only work on a separate project, it doesn't work on our project which is on GitHub. This week, with Peter and Axel, we also look about the problem of making our clone project and we solved it.

Week 8

This week I was enterely on Bullet. I had a big issue with it and with my mates we don't find any solutions to it yet. The problem is that the library are statics but they were build dynamically. I don't understand how it could be possible. It's the first I see an issue like this. Peter offers me his help so I think we will find a solution soon to repair this problem.

Week 7

This week I don't really work on the group project because I work on other projects, specially the Advanced Graphics Programming which is a module quite difficult for me. Nevertheless I take look to install BulletPhysics, find some tutorials and how to build it for the next. I had some difficulties to build it but I found a solution for this problem quite easely.

Week 6

For this week, me and Axel we were concentrate in the GDD document. And we have thinking about new idea for the game. We define the environment of the game, the globals architecture for the level design and a little background story. We have thinking about a man which come alongside with a little island to find an old lovecraftians temple and to explore it.

Week 5

In this new week I start some research in how implement a basic physic engine for our game. In my research I come upon a library which will perfectly help me in this task, it is BulletPhysics. After extensive research I see that it is quite easy to use and for now we don't need to go deeper in the physics for our game.

Week 4

We have decided to create a puzzle game because it reflect our ambitions with this game. We would like to make a sort of escape game with a succession of enigma to progress in the game. With this idea we decided to divide the group tasks. I will take care of all the physics engine of the game.

Week 3

For the first week of this group project I'm quite lost of how and where to start in the process of games creation. I am in the group of Peter Cannon and Axel Ribes. We have to, first, decide what of game we wanted to create and start with a little speech. Overall we have to learn to know each other and our way of working.
